Inside Breaking News: A BreakingNews ticker for every TV channel

breakingblog:

We’re all familiar with TV news tickers, scrolling along the bottom of news channels. But what if a ticker only appeared for a few moments when a story breaks? And what if it worked across all live TV channels? Here at BreakingNews, we’ve created a connected TV app that does just that.

First,…

finally: new gossip

Name a time in your life when you have showed great leadership,” the interviewer lady will say. And I will completely ignore the question. Instead I will say, “Have you ever LIVED, Ms. Henderson? Do you understand the value of LAUGHTER? Do you frequently revisit a certain emotion called LOVE?” And Ms. Henderson, my interviewer, will gasp softly. She will blink away tears. Without saying a word, she will slowly pull up the polyester sleeve of her navy blue pantsuit. She holds her wrist toward me, and I lean forward to meet her half way. There it is, tattooed on her wrist: LIVE LAUGH LOVE glowing brightly against her skin in immaculate Lucida Calligraphy. while about 7 years old, the album version of ‘who is it’ (sans bells) has been on repeat lately, thanks to this recent mix*. for the past week, we’ve been listening to it when working, cooking & vibing from home.

i don’t prefer this version above, but the alexander mcqueen dress — made up of tiny bells and a bell-like neck that turns björk’s head into a clapper — justifies the use of it for the video.
